Kuala Lumpur 2 Malaccaへ行ってきた！/To Malacca!

前回に引き続き、マレーシアの日々。

As previous articlle, here also continues about the days in Malaysia.

Penangへ行った次の日はMalaccaへ行ってきました〜

The day after my Penang one day trip, I headed to Malacca!

KLを中心として、Penangは飛行機で北へ１時間、Malccaはバスで南へ2,3時間ほどです。

From KL, Penang is about 1 hour flight to the north, and Malacca is 2-3 hours to the south by bus.

PenangからKL空港に戻った時がもう夜だったので、その日は空港で寝て、

When I was back to KL from Penang, it was midnight and I slept over at the airport.

次の日朝からKLのバスセンターへ向かいMalccaへ遊びに行きました！

Then next morning headed to Malacca from a huge bus station in KL!

これがバスセンター。

This is how the station looks like.

バスはKKKLさんという会社を使いました。ネットで2日前くらいにクレジット決済しました。

I used the bus company called KKKL, and booked the ticket online 2days before by credit card.

片道14.4リンギット。他と比べると割高だそうですが、それでも安いのでもういいやって(笑)

One way was about RM14.4. Heard it was bit expensive comparing to other companies but still cheap for me.

座席は写真の通り、とっても広くてフカフカでした！

The seat was just as the picture above, having enough space between each and the chair was so comfy!

全然2時間とか苦痛じゃない〜〜 :D むしろ空港で寝てたので、気持ちよすぎてバスでは爆睡でした。

Thanks to the chair, I did not feel uncomfortable for sitting for 2 hours. Actually sleeping at the airport pained much more lol

Malaccaについてから、ローカルのバスに乗り換えて、オランダ広場へGO!

From the Malacca bus terminal, I changed to a local bus to Dutch Square!

これがオランダ広場。

Dutch Square here it is!

日帰りで5時間くらいしか滞在できなかったので、この辺をひたすらぶらついて終わりました。

I had only 5 hours in Malacca, so spend pretty much whole time around there.

広場から横に伸びている通りにはお店やレストラン、カフェ、ゲストハウスがたくさん。

There are lots of restaurants, cafes, and guesthouses on the street stretched from the centre of the square.

上空には晴れてるのに傘がた〜くさん！可愛い〜〜〜

The sky was so blue and sunny but umbrellas above my head naturally looked so cute!

ゲストハウスがほんとうに、たくさんたくさんあったので

Because I bumped a lot of guesthouses there,

次は2泊くらいでMalacca行きたいなぁもっとまったりしたかった。

I wanna come back there for maybe 2 nights or so to just chill~~

かっこいいギターが目立つハードロックカフェもありますよ！

This guitar at Hard Rock Cafe was so cute and cool!

私はハードロックのTシャツを以前からずっと集めているのです〜

I am actually a collector of Tshirts from Hard Rock Cafe :)

こちらで買ったのは、MalccaのHard Rock Cafeの4周年記念Tシャツ！

The one I bought in Malacca was 4th year anniversary one out there!

バックが超かっこいい！たくさん使お〜うっと。

The back side is so cool!

そして、オランダ広場をはさんで、ショッピングストリートとは反対の方に行くと

And the opposite side of street from the Dutch Square is...

教会跡地があります！

The Church site!

なんと、この教会のゆかりの人物は、この方なのです・・・・！！！！

And surprisingly, the famous person related this church is....

1549年に日本にキリスト教を伝えたと言われる、あの、フランシスコザビエルさん！！！

Fransisc Xavier, who brought Christianity in Japan in 1549!!!!!

もう運命を感じました。まさかマレーシアでお会いできるとは・・・

I somehow felt the fate... lol I did not expect to see him in real (well,,, its not real but kinda it is)

少しザビエルさんのお話をしますと、

Let's talk a bit more about Mr. Xavier... lol

まず、マラッカにはヤジロウという日本人がおりました(彼は日本で罪を犯し、マラッカへ逃げてきたそう)。

First of all, there was a  Japanese guy, Yajiro in Malacca. (He is a criminal and flee from Japan)

そしてその後にザビエルさんがこの地でキリスト教の布教を始め、

After that, Mr. Xavier came to Malacca and started his mission,

その時ヤジロウと出会います。

then met with Yajiro.

ヤジロウの話を聞くにつれて日本に興味をもったザビエルさんは、彼を通訳として共に日本へ向かうのです！！！

As Mr. Xavier listens about Japanese stuff from Yajiro, he became more and more interested in Japan and decided to go over to Japan with Yajiro as a translator!

このお話を聞いた時、日本史が世界史に繋がった興奮でゾクゾクしました！(笑

When I heard this story, I was so excited that my Japanese history knowledge connected to the history in Malacca for the fist time!!

個人的に、昔の人は海外からお客さんきても言語違うのにどうしてたんだろう〜とか不思議だったのですが、

I used to wonder "how do old people cope with the language difficulties whenever foreigners came to Japan....?"

ザビエルさんについては、このヤジロウが通訳だったんですね！

but finally understand how for the case of Mr. Xavier!! The secret was Yayjiro!! (I never learned about Yajiro at school.)

それにしても、あの時代に海外に亡命するヤジロウの勇気はすげえ・・・

I am so impressed with Yajiro's courageous action to flee to abroad 500years ago...

そんな感じで、マラッカはヨーロッパの文化(キリスト教)関係の建築が多いです。

So, Malacca possesses a lot of European cultural (religious) architectures!

他にも、水上モスクなんかも有名ですが！ (私は行けませんでした(T^T))

Plus there is a famous floating mosque too! (which I couldn't make for this time (cry)

そして、帰りのバスに乗るためにまたMalccaのバスセンターへ戻ると、

After enjoying seeing the area, I was back to the bus stations, then

チケットカウンターでスマホの決済画面見せて「このバス乗りたいんですが〜」

asked for the ticket at the counter by showing my phone

って言ったら、

but, I was being told

「これはプリントアウトしてなきゃ受け付けられません！」

"you need to print out this page otherwise never get ticket!!"

って言われてしまって・・・(驚)

and shocked.....

「KLからここ来る時はこれで大丈夫だったよ！？」って軽く反撃してみたら

I tried a bit of compliment saying "I didn't need to print at KL bus centre though??"

「ここに、プリントしないとダメって書いてあるでしょ？プリントアウトできるお店が近くにあるから、そこでしてきて下さい。ケータイでは受け取れません。」

"Here. It says printing IS required. There is a shop you can print nearby. Please go there and come back. I cannot give you any ticket with your phone."

って言われてしまいました(T^T)

I was defeated :(

なので仕方なしに教えてもらったカメラ屋さんへ行ってスマホからプリントしてもらい

So I went to the camera store and got a paper document of the email,

やっとこさバスに乗ることができました。(焦)

then finally got into the bus.

そしてこの日は夜の１９時過ぎとかにホテルについて、

I arrived in the hostel in KL around 7pm at the night,

3日ぶりのベッドへバタンキューでした。

then I just dive in to the bed (which I was away for 3nights!) and just went to sleep.

Malaccaとっても楽しかった！また行きたいなぁ〜

Overall I really loved Malacca!! Definitely will visit there again!

ちなみに、PenangとMalaccaは一緒に世界遺産に認定されている都市なんですよ(^^)

Actually Penang and Malacca are both registered as the World Heritage Site.

日本では見ることのできない町並みなのでめちゃくちゃオススメです :D

The streets are absolutely unique compared to Japan and I highly recommend to visit both!
